DHF TYRES

Brand Refresh

DHF Tyres Original.jpg

DHF is a performance car garage in Hallam, VIC. Over the last few years they have built a reputation as one of the top-tier suspension, wheel and tyre shops in Victoria, and contacted me because they were ready to take the next step.

My goal was to honour their original colour palette but create a modern logo that would feel at home adorning a Formula-D car, or slapped on the windscreen in tuner car culture. The logo is meant to inspire a few different aspects of their business. The forward shear signifies speed and performance, the uniformity and curve in the lettering is modelled after performance coil-over suspension, and when repeated as a background pattern in the darker tone it mimics tyre tread.

*Please note, while the final design ultimately took a different direction (which I also created and you can see here), I felt the below to be a more complete design choice that better filled the brief, and honestly I just liked it more, hence the decision to finish it and include it instead.
